Random facts about Christy...

Email: christy@91x.com

Hails from: New York… But San Diego is way too kick ass to ever go back!!!

Who am I: I pretty much get along with anyone one unless you’re ignorant. (I don’t have time for that crap in my life.) Days are too short and I try to make up for it by making the nights last as long as I can. Put me in any type of social situation and it’s on! I just go with the flow and I think that’s the best way to live life. Only plan two weeks ahead and you’ll be fine, trust me!

Bands: I like em!

Shows / Concerts: Those rock too!

Things I like: NFL Football (NY Jets... But the Chargers are pretty sweet too!), meeting new people, taking random trips, 3 day weekends, crazy stories, Heroes (one of the best shows on TV), cheeseburgers, beer, running, socks, hanging out with friends, the beach, eating out(at restaurants! Mind out of the gutter! haha), my pda (aka a high tech cell phone), myspace… friend request me www.myspace.com/christy_taylor, people calling me Taylor instead of Christy, jeans (they're an addiction), doctors… I hate being sick and they make me better, live music, drinking holidays, going boating, ambition, changing my hair color about every 3 months, and def having fun all the time!

Things I Don’t Like: Chocolate (I’m still a woman I swear), traffic, shoveling snow (Cali is soooo much better than NY), jealousy, waiting in line for the bathroom, going through airport scanners (I like having shoes on my feet damn it!), whiskey… it’s hard to drink, music superiority, people who waste my time, waking up in the morning, earthquakes, heavy lifting, and headaches.

Words to live by: "The hard thing to do and the right thing to do are usually the same thing." Let that one marinate for a little bit. hahaha

On-air: Monday - Friday 6pm-10pm! 570-191x!

X-Fest is Tomorrow! Hell yeah...

I am so stoked for the big show tomorrow! Hopefully I’ll see your ass there :) FYI -You’ll be able to buy tickets at the venue tomorrow before the show with no service charge if you haven’t scored yours yet. Now since we’re all getting ready to put on a kick ass show for you, I figured I’d put a list of 10 things you shouldn’t do at a show! Hopefully you’ll get a good laugh out of this. Now to be fair I didn’t make this list I stole it from this website... http://blog.muchmusic.com/archives/2008/05/10_worst_ways_t.php

What your car says about you!

Here's what the color of a car says about the person who bought it:
(People whose car is (insert color here).... Have confidence that is (insert percentage here))
~~ Emerald green 5.5% above average
~~ Dark blue 3.2% above average
~~ Silver 1.2% above average
~~ White Average
~~ Sunny yellow 3.7% below average
~~ Orange 4.1% below average
~~ Bright blue 5.5% below average
~~ Bright yellow 8.3% below average
~~ Red 8.8 % below average
~~ Black 14.6% below average

Since the folks at CNW got a range of answers for each respondent over time, they were also able to calculate the "moodiness" of drivers—how widely their confidence varied from one extreme to the other, in the course of a year. Sedate colors, not surprisingly, correlate with consistent moods. But if a primary color suddenly fills your rear-view mirror—well, it's probably best to get out of the way:

(People whose car is (insert color) ... Experience)
~~ Black, dark blue, or silver have Consistent moods
~~ White, sunny yellow, or bright blue.... have Modest mood swings
~~ Orange, red, bright yellow, or emerald green... have the most pronounced mood swings

The DMV is never a good time

I’m sure you’ve heard the quote, “In this world nothing is certain but death and taxes.” Well I think we can add long line at the DMV to the list of things that are certain in life. LOL. Yeah, my ass was at the DMV today. I had to finish registering my car and it was tons of NO FUN… Every time I go to the DMV off of Balboa the line is out the door. But I decided to suck it up and deal with it. I mean sitting around text messaging friends is cool, but there are more kick ass things I could do with my time. Just to have 5 minutes of paper work put in the computer system meant I had to sit around and wait for almost and hour and a half. Blah... I’m just stoked to be at work now. Killer tunes on 91x are another thing in life you can count on! I hope your day rocked… It was sunny today! Maybe May grey is over? You never know. If you want me to play a song for you tonight, shoot me an email Christy@91x.com.
