FRANZ DOING 'DUB' VERSION OF LATEST RECORD!
Back in December, we reported that the special edition version of Franz Ferdinand's new album Tonight would come packaged with Blood, a "dub version" of the album. And now the Franz dudes are gearing up to release Blood: Tonight on its own, so that the whole world can learn how it sounds when Jamaican guys chant stoned platitudes over echoed-out versions of their stylishly wound-up new wave. (Note: This is probably not what Blood sounds like.) On June 1, Domino will release a standalone version of Blood. The standalone version of Blood will include a new version of "Dream Again" called "Be Afraid". The band already released 500 vinyl copies of Blood to UK retailers for Record Store Day, so get ready to fork over piles of eBay money if you just can't wait until June 1. 04/22/2009

Happy 4/20I was that kid you wanted to save, Got A's in school and always behaved, Was raised in the times of Mr. McGruff, But now I'm grown and I've had ENOUGH!
I tried my hardest to do what was told, My eyesight was failing at twelve years old, My parents divorced, and I moved away, Was bullied no matter how hard I'd pray.
Fast forward some years, when I was nineteen, I Took a drug test. It came up clean. To pee in a cup made me the fool, So instead I got myself back into school.
The road was tough for this legally blind Man who began to think with clear mind, Some of our laws to me made no sense, Like why is pot a criminal offense?
Tobacco is legal and so is liquor, They are both deadly and make you sicker. Medicinal properties? Those two have none, Yet for my choice I'm to be shunned?
Glaucoma decays my eye that can see I suffer from panic and anxiety I'm a college grad with a psych degree And I will take what works for me!
With medical pot, my thoughts don't race, The stress, it leaves me with barely a trace, Despite what the haters like to imply It helps my mind as well as my eye.
I vote in my state and earned this right, I've felt the pain of those in my plight, The U.S. today in 2009, Is caught in the vice of a failed design.
The Drug War inflames the problem at hand, Arresting good people has hurt our great land. Have they forgotten that we're a free nation? We lead the world in incarceration!
How can you tell the children to be Perfect when you yourself aren't drug free? We glorify booze and sex and caffeine And load our kids with fatty cuisine!
If you still think that pot is a cancer, Moral zealotry is not the answer, Concentrate on the kids of your own And leave us pot smoking adults alone!
Last but not least, there is my wife Her love's the best gift I have in life She is drug-free and says I should smoke. So happy 4/20, I'm off to go toke.
