THE BEATLES TO RELEASE REMASTERED ALBUMS
September 9th is going to be a huge day for Beatles fans. Not only does The Beatles: Rock Band video game hit shelves then, but the Fab Four's entire re-mastered catalog will be released on CD. All 12 of the band’s albums will come out with replicated original U-K album art, including expanded booklets with some newly written liner notes and rare photos. For a limited time, each CD will also boast a brief documentary film about the group. All the discs will be available together as a box set as well. It all happens on 9-9-09. 04/06/2009

Even with widespread layoffs and the notion of capitalism itself being thrust into question, whoever is booking the musical guests on "Saturday Night Live" deserves a raise. (Whoever is handling the sound, not so much.) Granted, the show is known for its high-quality stars-- everyone from Tom Waits to Radiohead to Jay-Z has shown up throughout the years-- but this season has been particularly consistent. So: This Saturday. Yeah Yeah Yeahs in your living room. Chances of Karen O sporting that bedazzled leather jacket from the "Zero" video are high.
