FacebookHardcore punk revivalists AFI originally formed in 1991, when the band's four founding members were attending high school in Ukiah, CA and began cultivating a sound that would go platinum in 2003. The bandmembers split up to attend different colleges. However, AFI reconvened during a holiday break to play a one-off reunion show, and audience response was so positive that the bandmembers decided to quit school and concentrate on music full-time. After releasing a handful of successful albums, the band's seventh record, Decemberunderground, debuted at number one on the Billboard charts in 2006. While on tour, members Davey Havok and Jade Puget formed the side project Blaqk Audio. And in 2008, the group reconvened to work on their latest album, Crash Love, which came out in September 2009!
