It’s been so much fun discovering everything local about San Diego. And a couple weeks ago at a friend’s wedding I had the pleasure of being introduced to San Diego Made, a local artists collective.
Supporting artists and craftsmen is how local culture thrives, so organizations like this are essential.
This Sunday (5/19) San Diego Made hosts their 3rd annual Spring Market at McMillin Event Center inside Liberty Station from 11a – 5p. You’ll find over 80 local makers, food trucks, sweets, drinks, music giveaways and more!
And our Beer For Breakfast buddies Groundswell will be onsite.
It’s a family event so kids under 10 are free. Otherwise it’s only $5, and online presale tickets include raffle entry to win locally made prizes, including these glasses from Spexwax:
Spexwax are frames made from damaged colored vinyl in a warehouse in Barrio Logan. They share the space with some friends of mine, so I was able to look around. I’m a sucker for colored vinyl and they have boxes of it. And they make the case out of your favorite record sleeve. Dope.
Go out on Sunday and support local artists and craftsmen! Help them fuel the local culture we love.
