For the past 30 years, Stone Brewing has been pushing the craft-beer envelope. From challenging drinkers to eschew “fizzy yellow beer” in favor of its aggressive Arrogant Bastard Ale, to putting on grand-scale beer festivals and constructing what is considered by most to be the grandest brewery restaurants in the county (and the country), this business has left a lasting mark on San Diego and the craft-beer subculture. This week, the crew toasts that legacy behind a pair of beers, Stone Chill Villain IPA and Stone 30th Anniversary Double IPA, while sharing information about a free and fantastic festival honoring Stone’s three decades in the brewing industry.
