From its humble beginnings as an upstart brewery in North Park to its current state as a large, established operation headquartered in Miramar, Fall Brewing has maintained a solid portfolio of beers and managed to keep its cool vibe fully intact. Whereas IPAs were once what kept the lights on for the artful, music-inspired operation, the company has shifted to crushable yet flavorful lagers, one of which, a Japanese-style rice lager called Tora!, the crew samples on-air. That refresher is followed by Clampdown, an IPA named for the classic from The Clash, which was brewed in collaboration with one of SoCal’s hottest new beer ops, ISM Brewing.
