It’s been three years since Artifex Brewing, a company founded in San Clemente by an ex-Pizza Port brewer, opened up a satellite location at Oceanside’s Freemont Collective. Over that span, it’s become well known, not only for its stylistically West Coast beers but also a revolving calendar of live music performances. Listen in as the Beer for Breakfast crew tastes their way through a pair of Artifex beers, an Italian-style Pilsner called Meatball Memo, which was brewed in collaboration with their Freeman Collective neighbors at Corner Pizza, and a Mosaic single-hop IPA named after San Clemente’s founder, Ole Hopson.
