Next Saturday will be the sudsiest of the year for the inland North County community of Rancho Bernardo, as world-class local and out-of-town breweries descend on Webb Park for an epic beer free-for-all. Dubbed Rancho BEERnardo, the festival’s list of guest breweries is curated by AleSmith Brewing owner and Brewmaster Peter Zien, who joins the BFB crew to talk about the event. Along the way, he shares some of his Miramar company’s peach lager and the story of working with San Diego Padres legend Tony Gwynn to craft what’s become one of the county’s most iconic beers: .394 Pale Ale.
