91X presents December Nights at Balboa Park The City of San Diego’s largest FREE holiday festival
Get ready, San Diego!
The city’s most magical holiday celebration returns December 5 & 6 to Balboa Park! Experience the sparkle of lights, joyful sounds of the season, and the energy of thousands coming together for this beloved free family festival.
🧦❤️The Toyota “Sequoia Sleigh” will be on-site accepting socks and underwear donations for Marty’s Sox & Underwear for X-Mas, benefitting the San Diego Rescue Mission.
Select Balboa Park museums will offer special extended evening hours, and the official Christmas Tree lighting ceremony takes place Friday at 6:00pm.
Dazzling holiday lights and décor fill every corner, with international food and drinks—and of course, an appearance by Santa Claus!
The Family Zone features free crafts for kids, pro skateboarding demos from Bones Love Milk and Hollandia Dairy, and a Ferris Wheel with views high above Balboa Park.
Enjoy live performances on the Palm Stage from SeaWorld San Diego, and watch Disney’s Frozen and holiday cartoons at December Nights Movies in the Park, sponsored by the Rincon Band of Luiseño Indians.
🎄Over at The Prado, the celebration continues with:
D-Rock performing both nights on the Loggia Rooftop, Friday and Saturday from 7:00pm to 10:00pm.
Surfside canned vodka iced tea and lemonade served at The Prado
DJ, selfie booth, and 360 booth in the ballroom
Santa Claus in the fountain courtyard
A snow machine adding a touch of winter magic
Karaoke in the Alhambra Room
Bars located in the fountain courtyard, ballroom, Loggia, and Alhambra Room
