The San Diego Music Thing hosts an entire day of panels at the Holding Company in Ocean Beach on Friday January 10th. The panels start at 10am and run until about 5:30pm. This is an incredible opportunity for musicians, songwriters and bands all brought to you by the San Diego Music Foundation and Springboard West. Springboard is a music conference held in Ocean Beach and Memphis that helps musical artists get to the next level. The San Diego Music Foundation works to place guitars, banjos and ukulele’s into public school music programs in San Diego County. The Music Foundation also runs music education seminars and panels under The San Diego Music Thing. The panels tomorrow Friday January 10th will include panels about “Impressing the Press”; What labels are looking for; Management, when do you need it?; When do you need a lawyer and why; and understanding Film and TV Licensing. See the schedule below. The event is only $20 and a portion of the funds raised go to the San Diego Music Foundation Programs.
