This week on Beer for Breakfast the crew featured South Bay beer makers Cerveza XTECA. Cerveza XTECA started in 2018 with Fred Sotelo, Mario Lopez, and Xavier the Xman (Magic 92.5) taking cues from a long history of Mexican American culture. They don’t have a tasting room, but you can find their beer all over Southern California in convenient stores, grocery stores & bars/pubs.
Marty, Danielle, and Brewmaster Paul Segura start with Cerveza XTECA Original Mexican American Lager. This 5% ABV Mexican lager is perfect for these warm San Diego days. They also had More Bounce Hoppy Lager (5.4% ABV) that smells and tastes like a West Coast IPA but drinks like a Mexican Lager.
