This week on Beer for Breakfast Brewmaster Paul Segura brought in a couple beers from Abnormal Beer Co out of Rancho Bernardo for Marty and Danielle to sample. They start things with the newest release from Abnormal, Familia Mexican Lager. This crisp and refreshing Mexican lager is very approachable for any beer drinker comes in at 4.5% ABV. This malt forward beer with a bit of corn sweetness is accompanied by citrusy lime notes from Motueka hops and a touch of herbal character from Saaz hops.
Next the Beer for Breakfast crew moves onto Boss Pour IPA. Boss Pour IPA (7% ABV) is Abnormal’s flagship San Diego IPA and features Nugget, Simcoe, Cascade, Mosaic, and Citra hops.
Both of these beers are available in cans as well as on draft in the tasting room off Rancho Bernardo Rd and I-15.
