Founder & Head Brewer Kelsey McNair of North Park Beer Co. joined Danielle & Brewmaster Paul this week on Beer for Breakfast ABV. The last year has been so hard on tons of local businesses in San Diego, however, Kelsey found a silver lining when North Park Beer Co. started canning their beers more frequently during the pandemic. Plus Danielle asks about the Padre inspired beer Win the West IPA and if or when it will be released again.

They also tried a beer that has Phantasm. If you’re unfamiliar, Phantasm is a really neat new product developed by the crew at Garage Project in New Zealand. It’s freeze-dried powdered New Zealand grown Sauvignon Blanc grape skins. Kelsey explains to Danielle and Paul that there are all these thiols in the grape skins that can only be unlocked with yeast fermentation and ultimately express intense tropical fruit notes. Really neat, innovative things going on at North Park Beer Co.
