This was a very exciting Beer for Breakfast for Danielle and Brewmaster Paul. Both of them are HUGE fans of the beers coming from McIlhenney Brewing in East County San Diego. McIlhenney Brewing is family owned and operated in the mountains of Alpine and officially opened to the public this summer, but don’t let that fool you, this is not a new brewer. Shawn McIlhenney has been brewing with his dad Pat McIlhenney for years. Pat started as a home brewer in the 90’s while also working as a local firefighter in Alpine. After Pat opened a professional brewery in Alpine his son Shawn hopped on the brew deck and the McIlhenney family haven’t looked back.
