This week on Beer for Breakfast Marty, Danielle, and Brewmaster Paul Segura celebrate women in craft beer with Pink Boots Society.
Pink Boots Society is a non-profit organization which supports women working in craft beer. Yakima Chief Hops (YCH) partners with Pink Boots Society every year to make an exclusive Pink Boots hop blend. This year’s blend features Loral, Ekuanot, and HBC 586 varieties. Yakima Chief Hops donates $3 from every pound sold back to Pink Boots Society. Donations from last year’s hop blend provided $137,565 for our education and programming initiatives.
The Beer for Breakfast crew kicks things off with Fore Wright Pale Ale (5.5% ABV) from Dogleg Brewing. Check out Dogleg Brewing on Thursday, March 16 for the official launch of beer + screening of “The Founders” a documentary about the original 13 players who played in the LPGA.
They then moved on to Second Chance Beer Co Fistful of Gummies – Berry Edition (5% ABV). This fruited sour has flavors of huckleberries, blackberries, and acai.
Keep an eye out for numerous breweries releasing their Pink Boots Society beer in the month of March & April.
